Configuring Netscape Communicator

If you already have Netscape installed, go to Edit \ Preferences as shown in Figure 1.1. If you have just downloaded Netscape, go to Figure 1.5
![]() Fig. 1.1 In the Category column, click on Mail and Newsgroups. Next click on Identity. Fill in your name and email address following the format shown in Figure 1.2. ![]() Fig. 1.2 Next click on Mail Servers. Fill out the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server and user name as shown in Figure 1.3. Then, click the Add button next to Incoming Mail Servers. ![]() Fig. 1.3 Enter server name, select IMAP as server type and enter user name. If you want the application to remember your password, place a check in the appropriate box. See Figure 1.4. ![]() Fig. 1.4 If you are just installing Netscape Communicator for the first time or need to add profiles to an existing setup, use the following procedures.
