Configuring Netscape Communicator
If you already have Netscape installed, go to Edit \ Preferences as shown in Figure 1.1. If you have just downloaded Netscape, go to Figure 1.5

In the Category column, click on Mail and Newsgroups. Next click on Identity. Fill in your name and email address following the format shown in Figure 1.2.

Next click on Mail Servers. Fill out the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server and user name as shown in Figure 1.3. Then, click the Add button next to Incoming Mail Servers.

Enter server name, select IMAP as server type and enter user name. If you want the application to remember your password, place a check in the appropriate box. See Figure 1.4.

If you are just installing Netscape Communicator for the first time or need to add profiles to an existing setup, use the following procedures. At this screen, simply click Next.

Enter your name and email address. Click Next. Figure 1.6.

Enter a profile name and use the default directory setting. Click Next. Figure 1.7.

Enter the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server information as shown in Figure 1.8. Click Next.

Enter your user name and Incoming Mail Server information as shown in Figure 1.9. Mark the IMAP button. Click Finish.

When you launch Netscape Communicator, you will see Figure 1.10. Mark it according to your needs.

To get your email, click the Inbox button on your Floating Toolbar. You may be asked to enter your password.
