Configuring Internet Explorer (5.0)
Launch Internet Explorer. Select Internet Options from the Tools menu as shown in Figure 1.1.

From the Connections Tab, click on the Setup button as seen in Figure 1.2.

Mark the LAN option as shown in Figure 1.3. Click Next.

Mark your page as indicated in Figure 1.4.

Mark your page as indicated in Figure 1.6. Click Next.

Mark your page based on your needs. If you already have an email application setup, you may want to continue using it. If you plan on using Outlook Express, mark your page as shown in Figure 1.7.

Enter your name as shown in the example in Figure 1.8.

On the screen shown in Figure 1.9, enter the email address you’ve been given through ConnectSouth.

Complete the information as shown in Figure 1.10.

Fill in the fields on the screen shown in Figure 1.11. Remember your account name is your full email address and your password is case-sensitive.

Complete the Internet Connection Wizard by marking this page as shown in Figure 1.12.

Two Ways to Get to Your Inbox

One - Use the Internet (recommended)

When Internet Explorer is open, go to http://www.connectsouth.com. Click the "My Homebase" button at top-right, then find the "My Email" button when the page loads. See Figure 1.13.

You should see the WebMail Login Box illustrated in Figure 1.14. Enter your user name (email account) and case-sensitive password.

Two - Use an Email Application

First you need to set a default email program. To do this, go to the Tools menu and select Internet Options. See Figure 1.15.

Next, click on the Programs tab. Use the drop-down menu next to E-mail to select the application you want to use. If you do not have other programs, use Outlook Express. See Figure 1.16. Remember to click Apply and OK.

When Internet Explorer is open, click on the Mail button and select Read Mail. This will launch Outlook Express. See Figure 1.17.
